I'm Back

Well, now don't I feel silly. There was actually a post about me and what reasons I might have for not posting in awhile. Thanks to The Scholastic Scribe who started an awesome dialogue on her site today. It was really intreresting to read her post as well as those of you that commented.

I must say that I have been busy. I needed some time to prioritize everything in my life. I love to blog. I really enjoy the creative outlet and the escape it sometimes provides. But I am also a parent and a spouse. My number one priority needs to be my family. That being said, there is still time for blogging. I specifically took some time off of blogging to prove that I didn't need it.

Guess what? It was truly hard the first few days. Like any 'addiction' there was a withdrawal period. There was time I could of spent blogging but didn't. I realized that I didn't have to blog. And that I didn't have to check for new posts and/or new comments constantly. I think I can now enjoy a more healthy blogging experience.

I do not feel that I will take blogcations very often, but there may be times I don't post for awhile. A very wise blogger once posted, "I blog for me. I don't worry about how many people read my blog." Now, I may not be quite that good, I DO want everyone to come by my blog. I actually blog for the interaction. I want your comments. If you have noticed. I like to ask the readers of my blog to participate.

I will say that I am not a real stalker but understand the name can be a little intimidating. I have blogged before on a more personal blog. I do not think I am an old pro but am actually quite social in real life and feel like most comments are just me reacting how I would in person. Just so it's clear, I do not want to 'stir' up any controversy. I merely marvel at this human experiment and all the variations of life out there. We all are so different, and yet in some ways we are all the same. It's these little differences and those little likenesses that make interpersonal connections interesting. There are so many people out there with hopes and dreams and even fears. Some of us share likes and some of us share our heartaches. What makes us connect with some and what pushes us away from others? Is it our political views? Is it where or how we were raised? Is it our religious views or our ethnicity that define us or those we will consider friends?

I don't have the answers and so I blog. I also do it for just plain fun. The day it becomes a chore I will quit blogging forever.

I hope I still get visits by all you awesome blog stalkers out there, but if I don't I understand.

I feel the same way as you. I blog for ME, but it HAS become quite the addiction. Glad you found time to make it back. :D

I was about to post this at the scribe:

"I think he actually a kid, who got busted by his parents doing something he shouldn't have been doing."

True or not? Only you know. Either way, glad your not grounded anymore.

I've got my blogging addiction under control. It's my soaping addiction that I'm worried about since I can't sleep at night for thinking about new soap creations. If my blogging turns into an addiction, I'll commit myself with you.

Wow. Did you know that we can't read your comments with the white and yellow? Or is that planned that way? lol

Anyway, how cool is it that we all noticed and missed your visits and your comments!!! I could probably disappear and no one would be any the wiser. Which is exactly why I will never try it. And we thought Mama Kat was an attention seeking poodle.

So are you going to go back now to see all that you missed?

Oh, and one more thing. You really can die from not blogging. That's why I keep at it. I'm truly glad you survived.

Welcome Back! Please tell your readers that I am most DEFINITELY not you. I can tell that even though you haven't been blogging, you've been stalking, since you knew about my post. Correctamundo? Just seemed like the time to post something about your disappearance since you were Pretty Enthusiastic before your hiatus. PS: Don't most bloggers say they're going to "take a break" before doing so? Then we wouldn't spend so much time guessing about your existence.

I didn't miss you, mainly because I didn't even know you existed until I followed a bloggy trail that led me to Scholastic Scribe that led me to you.
Still I'm glad you're back, and I'll be back to visit again soon. Mainly cause I like your music.

Glad to have you back BS! When's the interview coming? I plan to copy Emma at Musigs of the MIndless Banterer and do a kid interview each week or something. I think it's a cute idea and perfect to be included when I print my bloggy book.

Hello from Dolly! Glad I finally found you...I saw your post on Tulsi's blog. I'm checking your blog out for clues...the mystery of WHO you are :)

Tulsi said...

I just knew you were taking a blogging break. Something a post before I went to Oklahoma got me thinking that direction. I'm like Rhonda and think I could take a break and not be to noticed. I do try and fade in the background music at parties. A little notice next time would be nice. A "why blog" for me is that I don't feel strangers judge me like people around me do. I've been called Pollyanna recently. It could be someone I don't know, but I don't think I blog Pollyanna. I like connecting with people who wouldn't notice me otherwise. Mostly because I try not to be noticed but........

Glad you're back, BS. I think that we were created to connect, but also have a selfish, prideful side that can prevent other relationships to form.

Wow, your other blog is under investigation? LOL...Silly people! Definitely spend time with the family. I do my blogging AFTER they go to bed. That is MY time and I don't feel guilty. Thanks for visiting me often. You're a sweetie! :)

BS? Not only did you have another blog, it was closed for a TOS violation. The feeds and google reader don't lie.

I've read what you posted during your so called "break from blogging". It's still right there for anyone to read in Google Reader.

Though you didn't post anything unappropriated to warrant a TOS violation as far as I can tell, you are still pulling along some very nice people who were worried about your (non) absence.

Come clean BS.

I am so addicted to blogging. :) It is just plain fun. And I really like to read what other people think and do...
I'm pretty sure that down in the core of ourselves, we are all the same.

We were wondering what had happened to you. Glad to see you back!

Found your blog quite by accident. Nice to know I'm not the only one addicted. I even dreamed about blogging last night! good grief.

Summer said...

Ooh! Definitely stalk Sahara- she's cool.

Hi!

So what's up with violations? Did you get in trouble for having "stalker" in your name? Sheez.

glad you are back! I understand taking a blog break to take care of those who are important.

i feel the same as you "blogging for me" and family does come first. So you were on a much needed break ... gosh I understand the need! I just hope you continue blogging b/c I enjoy your blog.....

Hey guys, loving the comments and well wishers. Just to clear things up. During my hiatus I set up a guest ID so that if I wanted to allow others to post and also be annonymous I could let them use that account.

I never did do that, and probably will not as I have re-found my voice. There is no other blog, only an account for one because of the google ID. I did not know about the "locked" status until mentioned in the comments by you people.

This is what the message stated when I checked:
Your blog is locked
Blogger's spam-prevention robots have detected that your blog has characteristics of a spam blog. (What's a spam blog?) Since you're an actual person reading this, your blog is probably not a spam blog. Automated spam detection is inherently fuzzy, and we sincerely apologize for this false positive.

----hope that clears things up a bit.

Have a great day stalkers!

Honestly, Blogstalker, I didn't notice you were gone. I do have a life outside blogging and, whenever I can, I visit my blog friends. That's the way it is, and I'm sure, the same applies for everyone else. It's your life, and you are its head honcho.

Glad you are back stalking again. Sometimes you just need to take a break.
