Not too late.

Okay you procrastinators out there, get out your calenders. It is getting close and closer to the end of the year. What does that mean? Christmas and thanksgiving? Yes, but what I want to talk about are the resolutions you made at the end of last year and the first of this year.

How did you do? Did you start but not finish the goal? Did you achieve your goal only to sabotage yourself? I will freely admit that my biggest goal just blew up in my face. Here it is November and I am the same weight I was last January. Oh FRUIT! (inside joke)

Anyway, I decided to do something about it. My running never did get back to "habit". I was told it takes 21 days to make something a habit. So, I am digging in and hitting the pavement. The past two weeks have been stepping stones. Two weeks ago i ran 3 days, two miles each. Last week I ran 4 times 2 miles twice and 3 miles twice. So far this week I have ran 3 times at 3 miles each run. I must say I am feeling better.

My goal is to continue to eat sensible but to try and not obsess with the scale but how I feel when I consistently run. The weight will come off as I make this thing a habit.

Wish me luck! Now i have gone and posted to the world so no going back, right?

So, how have you done with YOUR resolutions?

I didn't make any resolutions. I am completely aware of the fact that I have no willpower.

I lost the weight and then gained most of it (not all of it) back :( I did keep some of my New Years Resolutions though!

Good for you for getting back to running! Don't give up!

My goal was to improve my photography from last year and I think I did. I'm still not where I'd like to be but I've been able to measure improvement.

My other goal was to be better about keeping in touch with my sisters and that's been great! We live in different states so it's tough sometimes to pick up the phone. One sister in particular is especially hard to get a hold of. Still, I send text messages and posts on Facebook cause I know she'll eventually read them, even if she doesn't reply.

Great job on the running! I'm not a runner! I never make resolutions. Not that I think I will fall short of them, just that I have certain goals set for me and many of them don't have a time line. I just live day to day or event to event. I can't think of one thing I should have done differently this year or anything I want to hurry and get done.

How'd your first two days of running go?

I don't remeber if I made a resolution this year. Maybe next year my resolution will be to remember last year's resolution.

My biggest resolution was to store an emergency supply of food for my big family. But before storing grains and such, I need to learn to cook with actual whole wheat, how to grind it, and how to store things properly.

I am proud to say that within 3 months I had learned all I needed to (to store properly and cook with it but of course there's always MORE to learn!)and thank goodness because after that we were in a position becuase of unemployment, bad economy, etc that we have to start living off of what I've stored. Thank the LORD I listened to my gut and got my act together JUST. IN. THE. NICK. OF. TIME!

You know what this was the first year I didn't make a resolution- normally I promise myself each year that this is the year I become an X,Y,Z writer but this year I laid off that and just focused on my own personal development. Whilst some things have fallen by the wayside, others like running- which I love except in driving rain -became a habit. Some things I really wanted to become a habit, like waking up when my alarm clock rang, just didn't take - I didn't even manage one attempt on it really, I just hate getting up when it rings... I don't know if I have any resolutions for this coming year, I feel I should think of one at least... but I'll get back to you on that!
